Parasi, July 3: Two people died on the spot in a vehicle accident occurred at Bhainsakhori, Mukundapur-5, on the Mahendra highway in Nawalparasi district this morning.
Two people sustained serious injuries in the accident. The accident took place when a car hit a bus on its rear. The bus was coming towards the east from west.

CHILD DIES DUE TO SNAKE BITE
Lahan, July 3: A child died after being bitten by a poisonous snake this morning in Siraha district.
Eight-year-old Shivendra Kumar Paswan of local Sanhaitha VDC-8 was bitten by a snake at his house while in bed. He died on the way to Siraha Hospital.

Lahan, July 3: The Nepali girls working in brick kilns across the border in India have been facing sexual harassment and exploitation.
Nepali girls working as labourers at the brick kilns on the Indian side of the border adjoining Dhadi Bazaar and Madar are sexually abused by Indian labourers and proprietors, according to one of the victims.

Gorakha, July 3: Nine people from Gorakha who had gone to Manang to collect the valuable herb Yarsagumba in April were killed, the District Police Office, Manang, said.

DEMAND FOR OPENING INDUSTRY OUTSIDE LUMBINI
Kathmandu, July 3: General Secretary of Nepal-China Friendship Society, Butwal branch, Narayan Sapkota, has expressed concern over the environmental pollution caused by more than three dozen industries operating in Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.

Rukum, July 3: The district prison is being handled by a peon. The peon is working as the chief of the prison as there are no senior level prison officials there. The prison has postings for seven staff.

POISONOUS MUSHROOM KILLS TWO
Panchthar, June 28: Two persons of a family died and six fell ill yesterday after consuming poisonous mushroom at Lumphabung-2 in Panchthar district.
The deceased were identified as 19-year-old Neha Kumari Lawati and 11-year-old Netra Kumari Lawati. While one of the dead died on the way to hospital, another died during the treatment process at the District Hospital, Panchthar.

BLISTERING HEAT HITS KAILALI
Kailali, June 28: It may have been raining cats and dogs in some parts across the country, but local residents in Dhangadhi, the district headquarters of Kailali, are facing torrid condition for the first time in around 20 years of time with mercury showing no sign to recede.
